  4. Thinking of myself as a media company and leveraging my content and being a voice in my industry changed the game for me and the way I run my Design Studio. I don't compete with other designers, I educate them, inspire them and set standards. Clients see my leadership and communication skills and personality and want to work with me.

    Now I'm Retweeted by top brands in my field like Adobe and Wacom. Creating value for others demonstrates and scales the value you have. True story.

  5. Inbound marketing baby….what I wonder about is "what is your content?" if you are operating a marketplace and not selling a tangible product? Sure I can print media about the ins and outs of the marketplace, but that isn't gonna interest consumers who are only using it for a connecting service and not to buy a product is it? I think for new collaborative consumption markets it takes a lot of creativity to produce engaging but still relevant content but def a must!
